01. The Challenge

Cataclysmic Change

Healthcare was/is undergoing a transformation that is both complex and multifaceted. Simultaneously, Vigilance Health was transitioning away from old offerings and adding new, more relevant service lines. The pace and size of these changes put them in a very difficult position. They really needed to get out of the trenches, assess and understand the current environment, and take a good long look at everything from a 30,000 foot view. Based on my suggestion, they hired me to provide that vision in a large-scale presentation deck. The project was a massive undertaking requiring many hours of research, and even more time piecing the information together in a succinct, digestible, and easy to understand way.

02. The Solution

A 30,0000 Foot View

I started with creating a BIG IDEA to establish an entry point. It's my way of wrapping my head around the problem (at depth) and the solution. What is the purpose? Why is their offering valuable? What are they doing that separates them from their competitors, even if it's easily overlooked nuance, and how can it be more appreciated? What is new, novel, and intriguing about what they offer? How can it be stated in a fast moving, visually attractive, high contrast way? The journey started with extensive research and many hours of thought about the subject. Then I compiled the copy, created illustrations, and curated images to communicate the problem(s) and solution(s). I used Adobe InDesign to construct the presentation deck because of its creative flexibility.

Design Elements

I used font variations to manage the readers focal point and to differentiate titles, subtitles and paragraph text. Images, illustrations and infographics were also created to aid in telling the story and give the reader a strategic break from the extensive copy.

Target Audience

The target audience includes Providers, and CEO's, CFO's, and CMO's of Health Systems, Community Health Centers, FQHC's, and large Provider Organizations.

03. The Results

Reimagining The Brand

The presentation deck provided a comprehensive understanding of the many complex problems in Healthcare, the company's solutions, and also revealed their purpose or "why" behind their existence. The Big Idea, value proposition, and  the piece on framing the completion was the basis for many other projects including their new website, LinkedIn profile, several webinar presentations, email marketing campaigns, explainer videos, trade show handouts, telemarketing scripts, and blog posts. Interestingly, they also used it to teach and train their employees, particularly their business development teams. Vigilance Health was so impressed with this project, it set the tone and was the catalyst for many other projects over the following months.
